'Should get David Please back as the Green Cross Code Man in a new campaign.'

I suspect you mean Dave Prowse or you need new voice recognition software. Or elocution lessons.

New cars should come with a mobile phone immobiliser, engine on, phone signal off.
Probably sounds like a stupid idea I know.

Re: Use of mobile phone whilst driiving
Never mind all this sentimental bollocks. Being able to make and receive calls & texts AT ANY TIME trumps all other things.

Stop people using them whilst driving and the next you know people will be asked to stop using them on TRAINS! Or bars!! Or Restaurants!!! Cinemas, even!!!!

Do you know how many dinners will be spoilt or people have to hang about at a station a few minutes longer or wait an extra half hour to find out what's happening this evening should that happen???!!!

The world WILL stop.

Having a close relative killed by someone who was texting on his phone i agree with the original poster totally. The texter was killed as well, so all in all well worth posting a text rather than waiting or pulling over to do it.

I'm shit at texting and generally using the phone in general, let alone driving at the same time that's fuckin complicated.

Should get David Please back as the Green Cross Code Man in a new campaign.

How the Dickens do you expect these people to concentrate on driving AND texting with all your hoots, man?

Re: Use of mobile phone whilst driiving
All the cunts here drive and text. One drove into the back of a stationary vehicle on I-66 near where I live and killed someone.

No law changes. Wankers. When I see people texting and driving I hoot them as I go by. They aren't impressed.

I'd be happy if they only killed or injured themselves and damaged their own property, sadly however that usually isn't the case.

Re: Use of mobile phone whilst driiving
It's the perceived risk to self that is the issue: a car is a cocoon and easy to operate so that risk (due to it's velocity & momentum) is often masked to the phone user - also, the risk of being mown down by someone you can see or have seen using a mobile phone whilst driving is so close to zero so as to not even be worth contemplating - as is the risk of someone you know/close to you suffering the same fate.

Bet many (drivers) would whip their phones out and film the incident if they saw something serious happening due to another driver using THEIR phone, though - they, of course, can handle it responsibly, right?

Anyone in a sales job will never give up mobile in car. Its a fact.

Where do you stop with all these laws?
I saw a bloke filling up an e cig on the fast lane M25 this morning.
He overtook me and I was doing 70mph
